Overview

This experimental RUCKUS One Licensing API document describes upcoming behavioral changes to selected licensing endpoints.

What This Experimental API Covers

• Consolidated MSP Licensing: RUCKUS One MSP internal licensing is being consolidated so that the MSP own account no longer requires separate REC licenses compared to the MSP licenses used for MSP EC tenants.
• Current State vs. New Behavior: Historically, REC licenses were required for the MSP own account while MSP licenses were required for MSP ECs. Under the new behavior, MSPs use a unified MSP licensing model across own-account and EC usage.

Scope of Impact

• The behavioral changes only affect RUCKUS One MSP customers and are expected to be adopted through newer API versions.
• The changes do not affect RUCKUS One RECs, but REC customers can also migrate to the newer API versions for additional clarity.

Usage & Compatibility

• These changes are exposed through the v1.2 and v1.3 licensing APIs documented here.
• Existing clients should review their usage of entitlement and compliance APIs for MSP tenants in light of the unified licensing model.
