Operations

Client Isolation Allowlist

Manage client isolation allowlists. Client isolation prevents clients on a VLAN from exchanging packets and is enforced by APs at layer 2. For isolation across VLANs or IP subnets, configure routers to block packets at layer 3. Administrators can add exceptions such as printers by including MAC and IP addresses on the allowlist. Use client isolation with walled gardens to manage pre authentication access and post authentication connectivity. Client isolation does not work with static IP addresses, so use DHCP lease reservations or the force DHCP option during wireless setup. If the VLAN default gateway uses VRRP or HSRP or if a DNS proxy is configured on the same WLAN, contact support for assistance.
